Wenn wir Fleisch aus artgerechter Haltung kauften und davon nicht nur Steaks und
Schnitzel, sondern alles essen würden, müssten weniger Tiere sterben.

Meine Urgroßeltern hielten sich ein Schwein, welches geschlachtet wurde und wovon
sich die vierköpfige Familie ein ganzes Jahr ernährte. Dabei wurde auch gegessen,
was heute oft für die Tiernahrung oder die Herstellung von Gelatine verwendet wird:
Knochen, Schwarten und Blut.

In ihrem Wahlprogramm für die Bundestagswahl 2013 befürwortete die Partei
„Bündnis 90/Die Grünen“ einen „Veggie Day“ . Dieses Vorhaben wurde in der
Öffentlichkeit kontrovers diskutiert und polarisierte die Wähler.

Auch mich machte die Diskussion über den „Veggie Day“ neugierig und ich wollte
mehr darüber wissen, wodurch ich schließlich zu dem Titel „Die moderne
Fleischproduktion – Massentierhaltung und Fleischkonsum in Deutschland“ meiner
Facharbeit kam.
